I have been looking for parts that I can buy for the machine and the singer support sent me some places to look and I thought I would post them in case someone else might need them for other machines. I think I have found a whole bobbin to buy but still looking for other parts. I sure appreciate all the help I have gotten from all of you!

New replacement bobbins on ebay and various places are generally good, but (!), if your 115 is anything like my old 99 and 201 there are problems with uneven quality. Of 12 bobbins I bought, I kept 6, the rest would not go on the bobbin winder. They were too coarsly finished off inside the "hub" and I just had to buy another bunch and see how many usable bobbins I end up with. This problem hardly exist on vintage bobbins.

Thanks for the links, they are always useful. There are some places that bothers with used and vintage parts, they have been life savers some times.

Which parts are you looking for?

I know this is "after the fact" but when taking things apart with small pieces (screws, pins, etc.) I always put a towel down on my work surface before removing any parts. This way if a screw slips out of my hand or drops loose from the thing I'm working on it will land on the towel & now bounce or roll off the table. Believe me, I learned this the hard way when working on small items. Good luck in finding your missing screw & with restoring your beautiful machine. You seem to have a ton of good help here on the board for resources & information.

The people on this board are wonderful!!! I usually put something down when taking things apart too but I didn't realize the screw was that loose and the tension piece was springy and it flung the screw and I have no idea how far it flew or where it sent it. I am still looking. I am unpacking so have boxes all around it could have flew into one of these. I am looking for another bobbin case online and am praying I can find one.

You might find an origial use one, but it takes time and the tend to cost a bit. I found this on e-bay. Don't give up on the missing screw, and don't vaccume clean before you have found it ;)

The bobbin case above is for a 115-2 as far as I can tell. I ordered one hooping the screws would work in mine. then I bought the other screw that holds the tension piece on but does not afjust the tension and luckily it worked. I was afraid it wouldn't. the machine is running wonderfully now and I need to clean it up a lot but she is beautiful!!!
