By looking at this machine, I don't believe it is vintage but I don't know where else to go on this site to get info. I have a chance to buy this machine and quilting table from a coworker. The machine appears to be in excellent shape and it comes with all the instructions, extra parts, design plates, etc. for $1000.

It appears that this machine is an industrial type machine and can sew through leather and at a fairly high speed. Someone listed one for sale back in 2011 for $2000 but I do not know if it actually sold. On ebay one sold for 300 pounds (is that about $450 maybe?). Not sure why the prices are all over the place but maybe due to excellent shape and extras, it is a good deal? That would of course depend on what you want to use it for and how badly you want it. Anyway, if you google it you will find some information on the machine. I hope others who know so much more will respond to you posting.

From what I know of Singers...the #1191 is an industrial the 300a is the classification. The sell new for at least $1000...without extras.
