Singer 191u What is it?
Hope some of you know what this is.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/antique-sing...21349529931%26 It is badged with 191u. When I searched Singer Co. there wasn't a manual for it. Price is right, but it is a long way from me, but do-able road trip. Ethel |
I found this page it says it was made in Japan: http://www.dickwightman.com/sewingma...adle/191u.html

I saw one a couple of weeks ago at an estate sale. It was mocha and in the best hard case I have ever seen. I passed it up on the first day, I think it was priced close to $200 and it sold for that. It looked new.
It struck me as a cross between a 15 and a 201 in the more modern body type. I think I read somewhere it's a different needle. It's also one of those machines that shared a model number with an industrial machine. |
If I lived close I would go for it NOW!!!

Nice looking machine!!!

This is similar to the one I saw. It came in the case with the fold out table and was the heaviest case I have encountered to date. |
My wifes 319 is in a case like that. I've been looking for one for my 500 but I don't think it would fit.
