Singer 237 help

We purchased a Singer 237 but while we were coming home the machine tipped over on the front side and snapping off the zigzag lever. Is there a way to repair this? Is there a part for this that we can buy and install to replace this damaged one?

Please take a look at post #503 over here for a fix I did on a take up arm

I know it wasn't pretty, but it worked when I was finished.

The only way I know of repairing this successfully is to find a donor machine https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png

I know that Helen Howes in UK got quite many Singer parts. You can try to contact her, because you may be lucky, that she got another lever. This lever is not a part, that is normally replaced. You may look for replacement feed dogs to the Singer 237 via Google, and find a supplier of that. If you are lucky, then they may also have got such a lever.
