Is this a good machine, or is this one of those with plastic gears? Thanks

Look it over good before you buy it.

Looks like a straight stitch version of the 237, which is generally regarded as a good machine.

That machine is going to be pretty simple. Just take the top off and see what is going on up top, then tilt the machine back and look at the underneath. You should be able to easily see if there are any plastic gears.

I have the , 237 is the zig zag version and it has no plastic gears.
