Singer 301 in #74 Cabinet on Craiglist

If I hadn't just bought another 301 last weekend, I would be looking seriously at this one. The cabinet looks rough, but I don't think it is a real common style.

Dayle, forget your other 301, go get this one and bring it to me. :D

Seriously, were in Lubbock I'd be on it like my cats do a wiggledy string. Besides, there's nothing wrong with having two of the same machines. I mean like I have 5 66s ...... at least it was 5 the last time I counted them.

Excellent price. Those cabinets are very nice if you have the room for one. Are you sure you don't need another? :o

Mine's a 301 in a trapizod(sp) blond cabinet. The machine is a tan and I'm still working on getting the tension right. LOL Quite a few of the ladies here, I think, have one of the cabinets.

Dayle, BUY IT and FLIP it!! It's worth a lot more than the $40 they're asking for the whole set up!

I agree with Charlee!!!!!

Charlee's right....just the cradle that holds the machine in the cabinet is worth the $40 on eBay!! Hurry and call on it

People, you are such enablers! Joe, this would be 301 #4 if I got it! Actually, I have the one I use, a parts machine, and the one I got last weekend that I haven't even opened the case on. In addition, I got a nice FW last weekend, and that is the one that I have been testing on.

On second thought, the other 301's that I have are all black, and this one isn't. Hm................

Glenda, some times it helps to take the tension apart and put it back together. Here is a manual with the best instructions that I know of. Some times it is the spring the thread goes through not in right. Or sometimes it is dried on goo. If you can follow a pattern you can do this. You may need to lock yourself in a room or you may need another person to read the directions as you go. You can take it apart and rebuild a tension. http://www.tfsr.org/publications/tec...achine_manual/ you will need to open the "tension mechanism" file and print out the part that applies to your machine. Follow the instructions exactly. Replace any broken parts.
