Singer 306K commerical

My spouse found a singer 306 K at the metal recycle place and bought it for 50.00. It is an interesting looking set up: there is a needle guard that wraps around the needles, 5 of them set in a circular pattern. He thinks it doesn't have feed dogs, does have standard house wiring motor on it.
Any ideas right off the cuff. I can't get a picture just yet.

It is possible that someone altered a 306 into a "felting machine." When I got my Babylock Embellisher, a couple of years ago, I researched a bit and found that there was a company that made one that could be changed from a sewing machine to a felting machine. I don't remember what company. It also seemed that someone took an old machine and modified it to be a felting machine with several needles.

Some of the things that I made using the Embellisher can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...ml#post7997352 and https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...ml#post8070320

There is a youtube of the Janome felting machine at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6Kv8g2bElY

i suspect that you may be correct. The needle guard and the needles do look exactly like the Embellisher's.
