Singer 319 Bobbin case question

I got a 319 yesterday ( thanks Bkay). It is a fascinating combination of technologies and I and having a blast cleaning and oiling. It is missing a bobbin case and bobbin (vertical bobbin). Does anyone have an idea if it shares the case with another model? I, of course, want to get it stitching and don't want to have to drag out multiple machines to check. Thanks muchly.

I went to Google images, and found this link on ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bobbin-Ca...-/322000553589 It has pictures and talks about which machines take what, and has some good information.

Post some photos when you get it cleaned up and working, please. It seems like a really interesting machine.

Thanks Annette, looks like I have another challenge on my hands. bkay, That is some serious grime on it. My regular care is only helping a bit. but it is turning nicer.

Both those machines had been in a rental storeroom for ages. The storeroom was owned by a sewing machine dealer. My guess is that he passed and no one paid the rent as the contents were auctioned by the storeroom company. There were 100 to 150 sewing machines in that storeroom, including any brand you could think of. Some were obviously parts machines. I would think they were trade-ins. Of the 10 or so I bought, I parted out 5, gave away 2 and still have 3. One of those 3 is a parts machine as well. I learned a lot on that exchange. Like don't buy a sewing machine you have not actually seen.

I ended up with a really neat turquoise Montgomery Wards sewing machine that is in great shape. I also have the 15-125, which I hope is in good shape.

Education is never cheap.
