Singer 401A....Help
 

Just got this machine....bought it for the cabinet and the machine was inside....$10!!!!!

But now the fun starts....need cleaning really bad and I dont have clue on how to wind it....HELP!!!

DH thinks Im crazy...and DD cant stop laughing at me giggle every time I look at it...

Anyone know about my new prized possession?

Google for a free manual. Do you mean you don't understand how to wind a bobbin? That's in the manual. Lots of threads here on 401's if you use the Advanced Search feature.

Pop open the left side of the machine. It has a diagram of how to thread it.

Do a search for J Miller and 401, I have a couple threads here with pics on that most wonderful machine. :D
