Singer 99

My great friend in Canada blessed me with a Singer 99. I love it so much and yet I'm sad. When it came in the mail yesterday it had a broken part. ITs the 3 prong thingie that plugs into the electric. Where oh where can I find another one? If I knew which order the prongs are supposed to be , i could just tape it together. But i don't . Does anyone have any info on what i need to do? Thanks

If it is the cord or a part of the machine that you need, I have a 99 I was going to get rid of as can't get the stitch lengh contol to work, something is wrong inside the machine. I'm in US until begining of April, but if it's something that comes off the machine I could mail it to you when we get home.

Laurie, thanks so much. How about sending the whole machine (to use as parts for mine) and I'll pay all the postage. The part that is broken is the thing that is attached to the machine (it has 3 prongs that fits into a 3 prong thingie that the foot pedal is attached to. Let me know what ya think. I will send you a pm with my mailing address on it. Thanks again.

Yippie Joe you did it. Thanks so much. I'll get it there if Laurie can't get it to me. The cost is a big problem right now. My hubby just spilled a quart of chocolate milk all in my laptop. Sooooo there is gonna be a big cost there. Thanks

I spilled iced tea on my laptop. It was a sad day at our house. We had a nice funeral, though. Then it was off to Staple's for a new one.

Does it not move? Maybe some Tri-flow would make it loosen up? Is the lever loose? I figured out some of those are threaded opposite everything else. What does it do or not do? Maybe someone can help you figure it out. Those 99s are such nice machines.

The light does come on but wiggle it a little an it flickers. The motor won't go at all. My firend said it worked when she sent it , so I think its about the broken part. Any way it looks like I have several options. My friend is going to the PO today since she had it insured. Ohhhhh its so pretty , shiney and its mine. hehehe
