Singer 99K

I just got a Singer 99K at an estate sale. It has the bobbin casing but no bobbins. I do not know what kind it takes. She runs good but she is going in for a checkup and oil job. Does anyone know what size bobbins she needs?

It takes a class 66 bobbin. Don't buy cheap ones from Walmart or JoAnns. Since you're taking it in to be serviced, get your bobbins from them or on line, a good place is Sew Classic.

What Cari said. There are several good sources. I recommend as Cari stated, Sew-Classic.com. Jenny has good and fair prices, but try to combine your order to save on postage. It is getting high and can be more than the part. I would recommend a belt and some needles, perhaps a light or two, TriFlo oil and grease. I have trouble finding, bayonet, base light bulbs here now. U get TriFlo oil and grease from her as it is not commonly found here either. If you need anything else for your machine or other machines, this would be a good time to get it. Also, she has good, free, downloads on the site you may like to see or keep for later. Thanks for saving another one.

Those cheap bobbins you find here and there can be taken apart - make good jewelry.... ask me how I know.

Enjoy your 99 though...I love mine in a cabinet. Have 2 bobbins only but that's all I need I guess.
