I always prefer locally, close enough for the machine to be picked up or brought some where in the back seat of a car. I just don't trust couriers after the horror videos I've seen, tv-reports, and all the threads on damaged machines here on the quilting board. |
Darn, I wish I was closer.........

FWs can be sold anywhere. Craigslist, Ebay, Bonanza, Etsy, quilt guilds, quilt shops, word of mouth, etc...they will usually sell anywhere but what sometimes keeps people from buying is either the seller having a sentimental attachment or an over inflated perception of it's value.

I would first try selling it thru your LQS or guild. You can't sell anything here until you become a senior member.

Another place to consider is the local senior centers where they have quilting classes or quilting get-togethers. At my senior center, we have about 3 classes a week where we all get together and just sew our little hearts out. I don't know why they call them 'classes' as no one teaches anything and most all of the ladies have lots and lots of experience in quilting.
I'd say anywhere the quilters gather would be a good place to put out some flyers to sell your baby. |
I like Sewitsforsale, it is a yahoo group.
