Singer Featherweight 221-0

I may be getting this confused with the 201, but is there a Singer Featherweight 221-1 and 221-0? Mine has the 221-0 at least that is what it looks like. the 0 is under the rivet. Here are her specs AM784482[TABLE="class: center collapse bordertable ninefivepcent alternate, width: 934"]

I do want to sell her, but I am so afraid of shipping. I bought a 201 on ebay one time that came to me with the frame broken. I guess they thought cast iron was invincible and put it in a box that just fit and had newspaper around it. That's not saying I would pack it like that. I would probably buy all the bubble wrap and styrofoam in town to pack her. We have a booth at the Warrenton, Tx Antiques Week and I may take it up there, but then again I don't want a bunch of people handling her wrong.
Any advice would be appreciated. I see them selling for good money on ebay. This little girl is so pretty but I'm not a quilter and it seems a waste for her not to have a quilter for an owner. :)

PS: If this should be on the selling part of the forum I apologize, I mainly wanted to find out about the -0 and -1 so I could describe her properly

I wanted to mention that screw on the front where the base folds up. I keep a little rubber cap on that to make sure nothing gets scratched or worse. I also keep the plug in part in a fuzzy sock for the same reason.

There is no 221-0. What you see is probably just the mark made in the badge when they attached the rivet.

If you want to take it to Antiques Week, just put it on display in the back of the booth with a price on it. If someone is interested at that price, you can bring it up for them to look at.

Good idea. Do you go to Antiques week?

why do you want to sell this little gem?

If you display it to sell, make sure you take the bobbin case out of it and keep it somewhere safe. People steal these. If you are looking for good instructions for packing to ship, look for it on the singer-featherweight.com site.

No, I don't. My friend goes with her sister to Round Top every year and I used to help my mom do estate sales. You learn a lot about people.

Sue's idea to take the bobbin casing out is a good one also
