My machines, I love them. Glenn

I found this machine in the trash in Germany in 1978, Made in Prussia in 1908 or earlier

OMGosh! That is such a neat find. I would love to have one made in Prussia as that is where my grandfather was from. Lucky you to also have your grandmothers. Cherish them.

That LOTUS motif is one of my all-time favorites! Lucky you....it is gorgeous! Have to ask....is that a "third hand" sewing aid clamped to one of your cabinets?......SPECIAL!

And the funny thing is you have the more rare of the "Lotus" decals. You have the brown version that is almost impossible to find here in the States. I missed a lotus in a parlor cabinet a few months back and I am still sick over it!

I have a machine like this, also from Prussia, in the same cabinet. I found mine in an antique shop somewhere in Va, don't remember where. Cosmetically, the machine is pretty rough, but it sews like a charm. It would be interesting to know its story. Cathy W.

They were made in Wurttenburg, Prussia in 1908. Records were lost in a fire after WWI so really don't know.
