Singer model 127 Motor and wiring

6 Attachment(s)
My new project is to get this beauty back running. The wiring to the light was burnt off at the light. The wiring to the motor looked to be ok. I can't seem to find any information on the Cat BZ 21-8 motor. If anyone happens to have any sources, please share so I can make sure I get the right sized wire to re-wire the motor. The switch seems to be in good shape. Won't know for sure it it all works until I get it all wired up and plug her in. I found a owners manual, but not the parts manual. Found one for a 127-15 but note sure all the part numbers are the same.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or shared information.
Have a blessed day,
Harold

Welcome, Harold.

I'm sorry no one has answered your thread. sew-classic recommends 18/2 AWG SPT-1 or 18/2 AWG SPT-2.

The motors are often very similar and you can usually go by a general wiring diagram or another Singer motor. I'm guessing you have a 1950s motor on a machine decades older. Do you have the three pin socket and plug? There are some models directly wired to the motor, but the most common was with the three pin socket and detacheable wire. This might be a useful link, and this.
