Singer model 27 1907

I was passing through a little 1 gas station town about 60 miles south of Kansas City when I saw a little crooked sign on the edge of road that said antique store. Walked in and saw this Singer model 27 1907. Just beautiful with all attachments (see drawer) and original sales receipt. She wants $400.00. Cabinet is just gorgeous as is machine. To much?

It certainly looks pristine, and seeing the attachment drawer is really neat. Looks like it's never been used, but it's just not $400 worth of "neat" to me. :)

Very nice. I might be tempted to part with $200....$400 is out of the question!

Just for the record? I have ONE treadle that I gave more than $100 for, and one that I gave $100 for. All of the others have been less. I've spent more on attachments for the machines than I have for the machines.

This is exactly like the one I just posted about regarding the tension problems right down to the cabinet. Of course the cabinet I have needs to be refinished. Purchased this one at a flea market for $40. Needed a lot of elbow grease, many ounces of sewing machine oil to free up the working parts and approximately 20 minutes of heat from a hair drier to get the hand wheel off. The decals are the same as the one you are looking at and are in very good condition except for one rust spot in the back. The center drawer is really unique. My grandaughter has already spoken for this one the minute she saw the decals.

I was thinking like you Charlee. She says she already has an offer for $200.00 from an Amish lady. I'll back in a couple of months might stop in and offer $150.00. Would like to have it as you don't see them in that shape or that complete. But it's is not a rare one as 70000 of them were made that year. I think it will be sitting there for awhile.

It's a very nice looking machine. I paid $75 for my 27, and although the decals aren't as perfect as this one, I still think $400 is way too much.
