I have one and documentation to its manufacture in 1906. It was well cared for, the cabinet is in almost perfect condition. It has all of its parts and it runs. I paid $250 for it and am glad I did.

I've heard from other UK residents that the Red Eye is super rare over there, even more so than the lotus is over here. That is probably why the cabinet is different, though I've not seen any documentation about cabinets specific to the UK so that would be neat to find.

It looks like the cabinet has a wooden pitman arm? It may be an older cabinet than the machine. The top/leaf also look newer than the rest of the cabinet. Maybe it's just the photo, but the leaf looks longer than the top. The cabinet looks like good quality; it has clean, well set hardware and a full piano hinge on the door. I wonder if the Singer replaced an old machine and the owner modified the cabinet to fit the Redeye. It may have an interesting story behind it.

Other than the missing spool pin, the machine and cabinet are lovely! I also know folks in the UK, and Redeyes are rarer there. But people are shipping them over for sale, just as some US antiquers are bringing Jones, Vickers, and other hand crank machines to the US where they are a hot collectible right now.
