Singer Red Eye Treadle In a Drawing Room Cabinet

Do any of you have a drawing room cabinet? I am getting this machine and cabinet Friday. It is going to be a lot of work to restore the cabinet, some dummy painted it white. I am so excited. It was made in 1910.

Congrats on getting it. If the cabinet is the one I'm thinking about, it's one of my favorites though i don't have one of my own. It's amazing to me what some people think look good, but then tastes change over the years. At least it isn't institutional green.

there are several variations of the drawing room cabinet. I've got two of them, plus one in bad shape for parts. It is one of my favorite cabinets.

Though I really don't need another, if I got a chance to pick up the embossed style, or the really early one with the open front, I'd have even more!

This one has the doors that open up and the drawers are hidden behind the doors, the treadle part is hidden as well. The machine itself looks to be in good shape, I hadn't seen it in person, just pictures. It has a little rust on the face plate. I don't know what it is made of, I don't know if they had chrome that long ago.
