Singer Redeye question

I have one that I removed from the treadle cabinet to put a hand crank on and I need help knowing what size and diameter screw to buy to attach the hand crank to the end of the machine-it has a hole in the proper place.I hope some one knows the answer to make my trip to the hardware store easy.thanks in advance

wolph33,

You will not find that screw size and thread pitch in any hardware store. It is an odd ball size Singer used. Very close to M7x1.25 TP "I Think". But even those are not findable.

Sew-Classics { http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/Bolt...rank-50632.htm } has the screw you need and they usually come with the HC. Or you can ask most any LSMG cos they usually should have those screws.
