I bought this machine a few months back. I clearly didn't know what I was doing at the time. I don't remember what I paid for it, but not more than $15.00. I decided to put it on the curb for freecycle a few days ago. Meanwhile, one of the kids that works for me wanted a machine for his mom. He said something about buying one, but I offered this one to him.

It doesn't have a pressure foot. Before really looking at it, I assumed it was a slant stitch. It's not. What kind of accessories does it take? I tried a low shank straight stitch foot off my 202 and it didn't work. The needle came down in the wrong place. It has the top part of one of those that comes apart. I tried putting the foot part from one of my T&Ss and it didn't work.

So, three questions:
Is it short or long shank (I assume it has to be one or the other)?
What kind of bobbin does it use?
Is it worth it to fix it up?

I look at this and and I'm not sure it's worth the time and much money. I have a Japanese zig zag that I would part with as well. It has old wiring, though, which my employee's brother could fix. (The older brother used to work for me as well.) That might be a better choice.

This is the foot I have the top 1/2 of.

Found the foot. It uses a 66 bobbin in a bobbin set up like a 503.
