Singer and Sunshine

Will sunshine adversely affect the finish of a black Singer, or any other black machine for that matter? I keep one out in a table top case, near a window with lots of sun.

I would think direct sun on any machine would be something to avoid. Plastic machines would get brittle and yellow. The finish on black Singers might change colour and the cords might get brittle. Make yourself a cover or throw a towel over it.

Thanks for the reply. The sun hadn't been shining here for about 2 weeks, so I didn't think about it. I went ahead and moved it. I'll find another place for display.
