Source for Replacement Singer Decals for Restoration Projects

Just saw this on Singer Yahoo group. Source for decal sets for Singer restoration projects for 301, 221, 201, 99, 66, and others, plus logos for bentwood cases. COOL!!!

Fantastic!
I just ordered the filigree decals for Gramma's 66 treadle, and a few parts for my aunt's featherweight (both were handed down to me). I plan to take apart, clean and reassemble both the Wheeler & Wilson bookcase treadle and the Household coffintop treadle I bought off Craigslist over the last few months. Hopefully I will then know what I'm doing and will do the same for the 66, with new decals. You can really tell that Gramma used this machine a lot. Wish me luck!!!

FYI - For those of us who do not live in the U.S. - this company has informed me that these decals are available on eBay with worldwide shipping.

That's great! I knew the 221 decals were being made, but didn't know about the others. Looked at some of his original 221 parts- over $100 for just the faceplates- Ouch! I just can't understand the $700 + that people pay for repaints. Some EBay sellers charge almost that much, and the customer supplies the FW to start with. I like the classic look of the FW. Nice to know they can be "re-dressed". Thank you.

I'm with you. The repainted ones are gorgeous but a little too perfect for me. I still prefer the original old gals even if they have some "worts". I may be wrong but completely refurbishing a machine does it not take away from the original idea of "vintage"?

Thanks for this link, for all of the machine that repaint for folks this will help tremendously. I did see and miss a chance to buy 10 sets of original Singer decals for the 66. They went for $18 or so and I just forgot about the auction otherwise I would have had them. I have been buying a lot of paperwork and factory documents lately along with owners manuals on ebay trying to build a better data base so I can help anyone that needs it. I will definitely be ordering a few sets of each of these decals.

I've seen this at the other sites too.
Interesting site.
Thank you.

http://blog.sew-classic.com/ for parts for Singers. If they don't have the part, they can get it. Don't pay that much for face plates. Check our Sew-Classic. That's where I get all my parts for good reason.

Glad you're feeling better and good to see your stuff. The colored machines were great. I'm very glad you moved them up in class and saved their lives so to speak. I am searching for more machines to save here in Tennessee. Keep up the good work. We love Sew Classic.com too for reasonable parts.
Thanks for the informative posts.
