Standard Rotary. Need manual help please
i have purchased a “new” Standard Rotary sewing machine. It’s electric and in a case. I am guessing 1904. I desperately need a manual. Can anyone help?

From my understanding there are a few different models of the Standard Rotary.
Maybe a picture would help. The pictures usually need to be reduced before you can post them. Since it has a motor, it may have been 'modernized' at some point, but the mechanical workings and oiling should be the same. The search on Quilting Board has been messed up for a while. It does work, but when you do the search (from upper right corner box of the page) you will get several results for "Standard rotary vintage" (without the quotes). When you click the link, it will fill in the page, but will not show the text of thread until you refresh the page. This can be done several different ways. I usually click the circle shaped arrow next to the address bar. Another way can be click on the blue title of the thread on the left side of the page, above the first post. Silly me, I didn't buy this one after all.

I have the manuals for both the earlier "slim" and the later "stout" version.

Here is one way to help identify if Standard is the manufacture.
Look at the two holes on the needle plate, the back is a long rectangle and the front has a rounded end. These are the typical attachment points for Standard, and they used them on both VS and Rotary machines. You can see the same holes on the above machines, and there is 40-50 years between them. https://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps3986e93f.jpg |
Cathy my name is Linda. My machine is the “Slim”. It’s just like your photo. Do you know where I can get a manual? Do you have it in pdf?

I've sent you a PM with a link to where you can download PDF copies of my manuals (for free). Some day I'll get around to getting the rest posted, I've collected manuals for most of the machines I own, (over 150 of them) and have been slowly getting them converted to PDF.
