Standard Sewing Machine Company

Can anyone tell me about the Standard Sewing machines? I understand the company was taken over by the Singer company in the early 1900's. I recently saw a Standard machine on ebay which had quite elaborate decals including a lion sitting rampant which I have seen on an old Singer. Did Sin ger continue making, and badge-ing machines as Standard machines after they took over the company and used their Singer decals for a while on the Standard machines? I tried googling Standard Company sewing machine decals and couldn't find the same lion anywhere. Also, this particular machine was stamped "Standard Manufacturing Co. Inc" whereas the Standard machines I've seen on the net are stamped "Standard manufacturing Co."

Thanks Caroline.....yes very similar except the one in your link has Standard manufacturing Co. stamped on the top whereas the one I saw had "Inc." on it as well. Other than that, very similar. So, as the fellow said in the clip, maybe Standard were doing clones of singers for a while which would explain the almost identical decals to the Singer. Thanks again.
