Standard slim treadle machine

I recently was given one in the original cabinet that needs alot of love. My question is... Is there a listing like Singer has, that shows model number to year and where you can find out more about your machine? Mine has a copywrite book dated 1935, and a metal case with attachments, but I think a few are missing. It is a very cool looking machine and I hope to restore it back to working order.

There isn't a whole lot of info out there on Standard - even though it appears as though Singer purchased them in 1932. We're lucky to have the Singer casting numbers, since many of there records were lost as well. You may wish to consider treadle specific areas of the internet. One I hear about a lot is the Victorian Sweatshop.

Victorian Sweatshop is the place to be. Many of the experts that used to hang out here are now over there. I actually spend more time over there now, it's more fun.
