Millions of these were made. Few folks use or collect them. Value isn't very much unless you find that one person who wants' one "Just like her Grandma's" Use it and enjoy it.

I'l take a look for the number. I have had it in the garage for a long time, i don't really use it. So, getting ready to pass it on to someone. So, just wanted more insight as to it.

Yours looks like an early Japanese zigzagger, the early ones seems to have metal lever, later on knobs and combo push-turn dials became the standard. Have you managed to thread and stitch with it? I noitced the square lid on top of the machine and I assumed it was for cams, but it can of course be for oiling and service.

Do we get to se a pic from under the base ;)

I have this one, do you know what model it is?
I don't know much about sewing machines and I want to get rid of it (I'm moving) and want to figure out how much I can sell it for.

I advertised mine on craigslist.org for $75.00. Some guy called me a day or two later and said he wanted it and would be here Saturday, since he was in Oklahoma City and couldn't get here earlier. He showed up on Saturday and looked at it, counted the box of little cams and said, "21, they are all here". I questioned that, and he said that's why it's called the 21Jewel, it has 21 cams. He pulled out 75 dollars and took the machine.

I would suggest this is a fluke. I asked $75.00, hoping to just get rid of it and expecting to get a lower price for it. He didn't negotiate at all. So, I'd suggest you try the same tactic. You might get $75.00. (I wouldn't think there are many Montgomery Ward or Happy Sewing Machine collectors out there.)

Good Luck.

edit: mine was not in a cabinet

Thank you so much! :) Do you know if these come with it? They were with it when I got it.

Mishell, that buttonholer would not have some with it, but might work with it. Welcome aboard.
