I believe you will find it is a model 24. That's all I know. circa 1900.

You are in Luck!! It is a Singer 24, Singer's answer to the Wilcox and Gibbs. The Singer 24 is purportedly the second quietest machine behind a well-oiled Wilcox and Gibbs. The third quietist probably belongs to the well-oiled Elna Grasshopper. I have one of these 24's that was changed over into an electric with a motor, but the belt driven machine should be amazingly quiet. I also have a Wilcox and Gibbs handcrank and it is amazingly quiet, and the Elna Grasshopper when well oiled is also just behind the W&G and Singer 24, and it is electric. But I digress. This 24 is a chainstitch machine and a wonderful little workhorse. Congrats on the find. Hugs!
