Tension replacement links, please!

I have a singer 128 treadle that need the tension replaced. Got the parts and at one time had a link to a site that could take me through it.
For the love of it I can't find that link any where (story of my life).
Can any of you send me a link?

Thanks, Dixie

The problem with rebuilding tensions is this: someone may have tried and put one little part back in wrong and gave up. You will need to know/find out which direction some of it goes or learn to be intuitive about those tensions. A manual helps if you have the exact machine/tension type. Pay attention to how the check spring is suppose to go. Some of the odd machines can be a puzzle until they work. Tammi has a good tutorial on her blog about tensions. A lot of times just cleaning off dried up oil helps the tensions to work a whole lot better. Here is a link to a bunch of info on tensions - in the very last Tammi has a link to her blog: http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...s-t170748.html

Happy to say Rose is running again!

I got this machine as a teen (over 50 now) and every time my little brother got mad at me he's sneak off and rip the tension out! I use to be able to put it back together in no time. My Grandmother Rosella used her after I left home till Grammie was in her late 80's. I would tune it up for Grammie every summer visit home. After Grammie passed she sat neglected for nearly 25 years. Needless to say I forgot a lot about running a treadle. Thank heavens for the internet, lol. Both links came in very handy.
But I did find some interesting things out today. I had ordered a new tension assembly and spring. Had a heck of a time trying to get the assembly in. Compaired it to the old and its much bigger than the old! The beehive is about a 1/4 inch taller and thicker metal. Counldn't fit the new assembly on with more than 1 turn on the thumbnut.
So I ended up using the new spring and the old tension parts.
Rose is running well!

Thanks again for the help.
