Very cool! I like the black one better.

I like the black one also, I think it was last night it got oil and played with, weird needle clamp. took it off annnd two needle grooves. two needle clamp screws ???? thought that's over my head, not capable of putting string in two needles at the same time.

It reminds me of a pfaff 130 or the necchi's,, but miniature

That is for the double needle, you put in two needles and two threads to get two rows of stitching on the top side, which results in a zigzag pattern on the bottom as one bobbin thread is catching both needles. Your black Universal is the same as my black White (but in much better shape).

What a tease LOL

I've seen pic's of little black white maybe it was yours. turn these two over and there the same. all the iron casting are the same, cranks and rods, the face plates would interchange.

before this I was never interested in this era of machine, I just picked up 25 18 of those must be 1950 to early 60's. 6 15 clones, 5 of those I will call new

Now I want to make a train around my yard. have a sew machine train, but it has to actually work

I like both and wouldn't mind finding one. I've seen a Morse long bobbin zigzag machine. I don't remember if it was the same as your black one or not. I'm pretty sure the daughter would like the pink one.
