Timing adjustment .... Help!

So long story short, i crashed a needle on my new machine (voyager 17) and the timing is out. Voyager 17 is a stretch singer 2188, vertical bobbin machine. Using internet directions, i was able to sort of, but not quite do the timing. Instuctions call for a .1 mm gap - just about the resolution ofthe human eye. Where do you put the light when doing the timing? It is so tricky!

you want light on the eye of the needle - juggle with it until you get the sweet spot

I did it! I am amazed at myself, lol.

I took the machine from a stitch skipping, thread breaking nightmare to actually working and sewing! Sewing!!!

The machine is stitch regulated, so I am back to super happy sewing.

This is the useful video, by the way. From Tin Lizzie.
