Treadle Singer machine, help me identify model
 

I just got yesterday this machine on the picture, with treadle and table, seems in a good condition, although I could not turn the mechanism at first, because everything was stuck. It's my first machine, I got it for free and I intend to sell it, I don't sew.

But first I wanted to put it in working order, and also I would like to know the year or the model of the machine. Thanks for the help in advance.

Edit: on the picture you can see the upper tag missing, and this is the only thing that is gone missing (I think). The shoe and needle is also not there on the picture, I removed them prior to taking the picture.

And also, I found the number 4684 stamped or cut into some plate on the machine, twice. Could that be a clue?

That is not a Singer. It is a transverse shuttle machine. The oval badge may have a name on it. From my understanding there were some distributors that would put their own badge on, rather than leaving the manufacturer's on.

On the oval badge it says The new Singer, and the machine has Singer written over it. I will look up what is a transverse shuttle, but still I think the brand at leas, is singer.

Your machine was made in Germany and modeled after the Singers 12 and this was common. It could be a Frister and Rossmann or some other German Cpmpany. Many machines were badged with the sellers name and not the maker. It would most likely take a 12X1 needle.
The bobbin winder says it is German.

And I need to correct my self, the machine doesn't have Singer written over it, it's the wooden cover that has the name, and the treadle, that's what got me confused.

It may say Singer but it is not a Singer machine. Patent abuse was common..
