Tutorial on replacing bobbin winder on long shuttle?

Hi,

Can anyone point me towards a good tutorial on the finer points of recalibrating a long-shuttle bobbin winder mechanism?

I am fine-tuning a 128 and crud, the bobbin business just isn't lining up.

Thank you in advance if anyone can help by suggesting a good tutorial or video.

Is your bobbin winder up by the wheel or by the base? My 27s have it by the base but I think they moved it up to the wheel on the 127s and 128s.
What is it doing? Is the thread piling up on one side?

Make sure the bobbin is the right bobbin... I had a wrong size bobbin in one and - OH MY nothing worked right...

My bobbin piled up on one end, but I think the bobbin thread tension isn't working well. I just have to hold the thread as it goes off the spool, and then it works well.

Cecilia can you clarify what you are looking for? How to reattach the bobbin winder mechanism to the body of machine? How to adjust the cam and thread laying guide to get an even wound bobbin? Or something else?

Yes, use a known good original bobbin not the new ones.
