Just yesterday I bought a machine that has almost the same features... the bobbin area, 2 buttons to drop the feed dogs, bobbin winder, identical fly wheel, identical foot pedal, it even has the same 3 screws near the foot plate (2 are removed to lift the foot plate). These features are Singer-esqe, for lack of a better word. I don't know much about my machine either but thought I'd say "great find!". Your mechanical controls are arranged a little different than mine.

One of the slide knobs near the bobbin winder does the needle left-center-right function. Mine has this but it's on the top of the machine.
($75 is way too much for this machine, IMHO. Mine had a $75 price tag as well and I talked them down to $30)

Since I'm looking for info on the machine I found yesterday, I'll share what I'm seeing for your machine! There are few close matches of your machine here:

There are quite a few clues on this website, not just the gallery of favorites. ...off on the hunt again....

Welcome to the world of Japanese clones!! They come in all kinds of awesome colors and turquoise is one of my favorites!!! Are you thinking of buying the one that you posted or did you already buy it?

My first vintage/machines were the black Singers and then the tan Singers. Now I drool over all of the beautiful Japanese clones that I see and I have collected a 'few', too....:o There is a Yahoo Group dedicated to these machines in case you are interested. They have lots of helpful info in their files that may help you to find out more about your particular machine. Here is the link:
