Thank you so much! I did thread it that way, but it was not picking up the bobbin thread. I have done the bobbin both directions as well. I will keep at it, I am sure it's something simple I am overlooking.

This is one of my non-working machines. I will post pics and explain in a later comment. This seems the perfect opportunity to finally address and fix what's ailing it.

Change your needle direction and gently see if it works.

What is the lever that is just above the stitch selection dial? I can't figure out what it does. My dial has become stuck of late and I do not know if I have moved something that has locked it or what. Any suggestions?

There are some machines that you have to hold a lever to turn a dial or turn a knob to hold a knob. Try that after you have it oiled etc.

I get to occasionally lurk here. Rodney. My husband is under home hospice care now and my days are very full. I think I may have the manual stored somewhere on my PC. Will look later.

Hello! I aquired a Super Zigzag today! It was going to be thrown away and I saved it! I'm so glad I did! I took it home and to my surprise it's an antique and the best thing is that it works!! I saw that you were looking for a Manual to this machine. Did you ever find one? Actually I have one ! I also have a box to store it in. If you are still interested in hav having the Manual I can copy it for you. Happy sewing!

I just acquired this Super Zig Zag two weeks ago. Mine runs, but I have no idea about anything and I was wondering if I could get a copy of the manual? I'd be willing to pay for a copy.
