Value of a Singer 6235

A friend's mother passed away recently and she had this machine. It was plugged up in her sewing room so I know she had been using it until recently. He has asked me to try and find the value of it since he is wanting to clean out her house. Anyone have ideas about it's value. Thanks.

Edit; I should probably detete my post, I just realized I confused yours with model 6268, which is a completely different model, but for a while there it reminded me of a machine I once knew. The 6235 is a more basic model, still nice if it runs though.

It was a very fancy machine once, but they are 30 years old now, and computerised models tend to be a bit risky as the decades go by. They can be all fine though and still go on for yet a few decades, hard to know. They are not easy to repair when the circuit boards fail, if possible at all. If there comes a lot of monogram and emobroidery software with it, it should be worth something. They are the type of machine you can be found for anthing from $20 to $200, I don't know if they will go for much more. The top models with all the embroidery functions doesn't turn up that often.
