P.S. Did you notice it doesn't have any feed dogs? It's fascinating!

Vertical feed machines are supposed to be the absolute best for machine quilting! If you want to treadle, that is. Several members of TreadleOn use them, and swear by them. The fabric is moved not by the feed dogs, but by the needle piercing it, and then the needle mechanism moves back, pulling the fabric with it. Fascinating, really.

They are much in demand by people wanting to machine quilt with a vintage machine.

There are two or three people in the vintage s.m. shop who own Davis vertical feed machines. You could get advice/information from them about this machine. Do you have any information other than the picture?
(I recently bought a Davis, and am in the process of learning what I can about it. Looks like it going to be fun to use.)
