Vindex C Treadle

I found this on CL for free. I had never wanted a treadle but picked it up anyway. I found that it was made by National, I think. The serial number is under the missing front slide plate but that didn't help me find out anything. My DH refinished the cabinet and ironworks. The cabinet was all there but the treadle head was missing the shuttle and front slide plate. I found an Eldredge shuttle that works but I am still looking for a slide plate. Also, does anyone know what that round hole on the cabinet top is for? You can see the hole in the upper right hand corner of the refinished cabinet. It looks like the hole was factory made. No attachments came with it but I found some Greist rotary attachments that I think will work.

your DH did a great job on your cabinet. I had never seen one with that particular hole. I don't know what it would be used for over there.

Thanks. My DH did do a great job on the cabinet. I just wish the treadle head was in better shape. It's not much to look at but I hope it will at least sew. I thought about replacing it but I am not sure what machine would fit in the cabinet. I found out that Singers are not the right size.
