Vintage machine

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help me with an instruction manual or any info. It has a knee paddle and no foot paddle. It has a French emblem on the machine, but I think it is Japanese from what I have read about similar machines. She still runs too and very heavy. I can not find this exact model. Thanks for any help. |
I can't give you much information, but I will tell you what I do know. it's a "badged" machine. It was sold under various names, ie "private labeled". It was probably made in Japan. It's a good machine, and will probably last forever. You used to be able to look at the various manual sites until you found one that matched the your machine's appearance. I was recently informed that those sites don't exist anymore. I'm not sure how to find a manual now.
If there is something specific about how to operate the machine, maybe I can help. bkay. |
Thank you so much. As a new sewer I find it hard to thread my new machine. I need to figure out threading the bobbin and needle.

Welcome. I'm not much help as bkay said it is hard to find manuals for
|
If you are still at a loss for information, take some closer pictures and I'll see if I can help you figure it out. I'm guessing that bobbin winding and threading will be easy to figure out.
Take two more photos, one looking straight on at the front, and one looking straight down from the top. I had a machine that had a bobbin winder similar to that (Singer 503, if I remember correctly), and threading is pretty similar on most machines when you look at it closely and have threaded lots of machines. I'll need to see all the "hooks", etc. I really hate it if you are still stuck. I will try to help. bkay |
Thank you so much for info. No J numbers.

I found the original booklet and receipt. LOL. It was inside the chair that came with the machine, the top of the chair seat lifts up. It was there the whole time. She kept everything. It was a treasure trove.
