Vintage Machines

I have decided to get rid of some of the vintage machines I have so I'll be checking them out, taking pictures and looking up details about them. I hope I don't change my mind once I start pulling them out. Anyone else have this dilemma?

I find it very difficult to part with any of mine. I like them too much.

I have started collecting also and I would have a hard time parting with mine.I have 5 featherweights and thought about selling 3 and I can not make myself do it.I have 2 99's and can not part with either. It is becoming an addiction-just like fabric.

It's hard, but I do rehome those that I don't use. I can't take up valuable space with machines that serve no purpose(to me).

For me it depends on the machine. I want to use the machines I keep, so the ones that I figure I won't use find new homes.

I will be moving to another state soon, and have the same dilemma. These old machines are heavy and moving my collection will be a challenge, but I can only think of maybe one machine out of my bunch that I might consider parting with. It is very hard to part with them, because each one is unique to me. Good luck.

There are a few machines here that cost so little I had to bring them home just to try them out. Two turned out to be favorites and keepers. Other machines, that I bought specifically like the fw & 99 are also keepers.

I feel kinda shaky just thinking about it

I get sick to my stomach when I think about getting red of my machines.

I'm having to find new homes for most of my vintage machines because I'm moving home. (They are posted in the offers section of this forum). It's making me feel quite sad as in an ideal world I would like to keep them. I can't bear to sell them and want to give them to someone who will appreciate them. It is quite strange how attached I have become to these inanimate objects. I am hoping that by keeping one or two of them I will be less sad about the others going.
