Very good price.

That is a Wheeler & Wilson Curved needle Treadle machine.
It is what is referred to as a Narrow Low bed version.
They sew left to right (yes, the fabric moves left to right as you sew)
They used curved needles which are expensive but available ($20-$40 each)
They use glass presser feet so you can see the stitch being made.
They use a flat leather or woven belt to drive the machine.
The treadle had two connected feet as the pedal and originally came with little straps for your toes

This one has the bobbin holder, bobbin brush, and bobbin (ALL required and commonly missing)

It is truly a pleasure to sew with.

Thank you Steve for all this info. Its funny you mentioned the curved needles. my neighbor who used to work in a Home Tex store sewing sheets etc, passed on some needles she thought would fit out 1958 comm treadle singer, but she in advertently gave me curved needles, that were brand new. Well I certainly didn't have a use for them, gave them back to her.
what should the paying price for this machine be? as we know they can ask anything, thank you again.

That machine looks complete, going by what wood can be seen, guess the stand is as good. it has been rusty.

In the 60's the price would have been higher than what there asking.

offer them $220, then dig in your pocket pullout another $2.37 see if they take it.
