walking foot
 
can some one help i bought a walking foot for my singer 221 from April 1930 shop it came with a long attachment that i do not know how to attach, it is not attached to the walking foot is there a site that i can see how to attach it thanks for all the help i can get

Are you talking about a quilting guide? It would be helpful to post a link to the foot you're having questions with. Usually there's a hole in the back of the walking foot where the guide slides in.

Is this what you bought? If so, the long metal piece is a quilting guide. It helps you keep lines of quilting a certain distance apart. As you can see in the pic, it just slides into the side of the foot.
