Joe, sorry for getting off-topic. I'll switch to my other thread.

do you need miriam to come over with her sledge hammer?
|
Naw, if it gets to that point I have a .45 that will do the job nicely.

I read somewhere - I think on Superior's site - that the most common bobbin is the "L" bobbin.
https://www.superiorthreads.com/medi...ility-list.pdf It's the same diameter as the 15, but it's a little shorter. I've noticed that a lot of companies like to "hide" what type of bobbin they're using, then jack up the price of their properly part numbered ones. I've also found that I can use a "L" bobbin in place of a 15 bobbin in horizontal bobbin machines at the very least. I did it in the Kenmore a few weeks ago. I used some of Lucey's prewound "L" bobbins in it, not quite by accident, mostly out of curiosity. Beautiful stitches. Because of that, the "L" bobbin would likely be the first bobbin type I'd try in an "unknown" situation. |
Tammi, I never thought about that before - I think I'll test out your theory though.

If I get down into the studio today, I'll snap a few pics. I used the Kenmore that night for some monogramming of some fabric sorting bins. I have a Pfaff serger to service first. The last Pfaff serger was character building, and this one's electronic to boot. *sigh*

Rodney Not to worry. Look what Miriam and Tammi are doing ..... :D :D Joe |
Hey!! Technically it was you who asked about the bobbins first! :)
ETA: OK, in fairness, it was more than a year ago that you asked. But the answer was directly related to your question. Class 15 but shorter. ;) |
Aw poo ...... well what ever, whoever, whichever .... The machine don't work worth a diddly hoot but I do have bobbins for it. LOL.
