The embroidery design came from Embroidery Library - they have several vintage styles.
I used a larger size cord when making the piping and really love the way it stands out better than the smaller type you buy pre-made. I'm going to try once again to post a larger photo. |
adorable! i want one!

Fantastic! Do you have an embroidery pattern for a treadle?

Lovely cover. Did you use a pattern or you did it with just the measurements? Love it. What did you use to add body to the fabric so it would stand up well? Would like to know. Mine are not stiff enough (for lack of a better term).

Thank You
I just made it as I went - no pattern - did the embroidered section, and then cut the top and side piece, put piping on both sides (I made it with the next to small size of cording), then just kept laying it over the machine to get the right size. I used double sided quilt material so it is more stable. I also used cutaway stabilizer, which I cut to the full front panel to give it even more stability. I love the way it turned out, especially the way it just about "stands by itself" karen

I found a few designs but not thrilled with them, will look this weekend and see what there is that can be done. Karen |
