What machine does this cord fit?
 

Went to the LSMG today to get some parts. Needed the insides for an older controller for a cabinet machine and he brought this out. The controller itself is a regular old Mercury brand controller, but the cord is one I'm not familiar with. Can anyone here tell me what this cord fits?
The machine end is marked "6A" on one side and "D11-269" on the other side.

I'm thinking it's one of those ferrin made mocheens. Sure don't look like anything I recognize.

Any way I'm going to gently separate the cord from the controller and bag it up. I'm gonna use the controller for another machine.

It's hard for me to see the end of it, but Pfaff cords look very similar.

I don't think I've seen one exactly like that before. However it does resemble one of the Elna plugs.

What is the distance between the slots?

Inside edge to inside edge of the outer slots = 5/8"

If the slots are about 3/8" from center of one slot to the center of the next one, it'll fit an old Kenmore, White, or Domestic....although I've never seen one made quite like that. It will fit on a Kenmore like you said. However this cord plug has a grooved side to make sure it goes in the right way. So I'm pretty sure it's not made for a Kenmore.

Elna was European made; so maybe that is what came on the machine originally and that is the cord and fitting that was pitched when the Elna was brought to the US and converted to our type of electricity?????

Look at the second picture. Just to the left of the foot controller you can see the US 110-120 Volt plug. The controller that was on it is also marked for US voltage.

It doesn't look like a Pfaff, it does somewhat resemble my Elna cords, though this one is different. Necchi also has some cords that are similar to Elna, so it may be a Necchi, and Necchis had black machines, which this one would match with. The other brand that springs to mind are Penncrests (JC Penny machines). I have a couple that could be a match for this cord.

Well, what ever it fits I've put it in a zip lock bag for safe keeping. Should I ever find a machine that uses it, or someone who needs it, it will still be here.
