Can you give us the serial number, possibly located on the lower right side. We may be able to look it up from the Singer databank.

Does the treadle linkage go to an electric motor on the right hand side under the back edge of the table? I recently saw a similar table with a different machine head for $250 and the machine was from the 1910-20 time period. It's definitely a commercial/industrial machine.

Also the object mounted to the table on the right with the big wheel on it is the bobbin winder and is identical to the one I saw at the consignment store.

One more time. Looks to be a Singer 72-(19?) double needle hemstitcher made in the early 1900's. If it is, it is more useful for domestic rather than a commercial application now days.

I just went on e-bay and shurenuff there is a 72-19 with a starting bid of $1500 and buy it now for $2000. Don't let it get away if it is $800.

Closed ebay auctions are a better gauge of what people are paying or "worth". Sellers can ask anything for Buy it Now or auction listings.

I think you all are right about it being hemstitcher. Interesting machine.
