What is a non-Featherweight Singer 221?
 

I saw this on one of the local CL and it got me wondering what it is. The serial number indicates that it is a 221, but it is not a Featherweight (looks like a 99 to me, but I am not that great at IDing machines yet). Everything I googled with Singer 221 brings me straight back to the FW. It certainly is not priced like a FW.

The serial number was written down wrong or the chart was read wrong. That is absolutely a 99.

There are occasional mistakes found in Singers' records. Definitely a 99.

Such a pretty little machine. Hope it finds a good home!!

I've misread more than one serial number. It's definitely a 99. It is missing the knee control and lever. It's been wired with a regular foot pedal instead.
