What year/model Davis treadle machine

I am attempting to restore a Davis treadle machine and cabinet. I found great information on this site to guide me through cleaning, etc. Thank you for that.

The main problem is that I can't figure out what year / model I have. I've searched and found lists of models with pictures, but mine isn't there. Can anyone help?

The serial number is 611199. It is marked Dayton, OH so I know it's a later dated machine. I can send pictures if someone can tell me how to attach them.

Thanks,
Debbie

Welcome, Debbie. The pictures generally need to be reduced in size. They need to be reduced to under 1.9 MB but most of mine are under 500 KB.

There are several posts on how to post a picture, but I just did one, today at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...ml#post8301704

I'm going to simply guess that you have a VF2 and date it about 1895 to 1900. I don't think there are very accurate serial numbers for Davis machines. I think there have been some lists made by people that have compiled some info based on paperwork that came with the machine.

I haven't seen a vertical feed Davis in real life, until recently. They are neat machines.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.
