When were the Singer 66's first manufactured??? any ideas?
I have a friend who just emailed me the serial numbers on a Singer machine that she says is "red"
like yours...(I have a singer 66 red eye that she recently saw)...Her serial number that she gave me was 05723993, which as far as I can tell might be 1891, but no models are given on the data base I saw. She has said before that it is an old treadle. I hesitate to say it is an 1891 if it isn't. No pictures either. Thoughts??? |
ISMACS claims the red eye decal set was started in 1902.

Some times the serial numbers can be hard to read and interpret.

Thank you all, I will pass along the information, and of course, I learned something new too. Love this board.
