I bought this little beauty yesterday, but cannot find anything about it...

Can anyone help me to find out how old it is and where to find an online manual.

Many thanks :)

Sorry! I'm not into old machines, so I'm no help, but it looks like it's in good shape. I'm sure someone will come along to answer your questions soon.

It's a Japanese copy of Singer's model 15. If you google the words "badged model 15 clone" you will get lots of info. There's several threads here on the quiling board forum. They usually need a bit of cleaning and oiling before they run smothly again. On ismas there's a generic manual for them, several others will turn up of you search for it. Here's some nice info too. There's a lot of variants on it, typical is the tensioner adn take up lever on the side of the face plate, and they all take standard class 15 bobbin and bobbin case.

Thanks Mickey2. She is in such good condition and such a pretty colour..... I just couldn't resist :)

I'm going to check out that info, and print out a manual :) :) :)

There's lots of info on youtube too. Here's some info on it's history. All of the Japanese seem to be based on the later Singer model 15 with the stitch length lever. Here's some info and pictures of the original Singer 15.
