Where was machine made?

My DH went to an auction yesterday & called me to ask if I wanted him to bid on a sewing machine. The make was Summit. I asked what it looked like, he said ugly. I told him not as I couldn't see it & had never heard of the make. Hoping today that it wasn't a mistake.

Good question. Without a picture it's going to be impossible to know for sure. There were a lot of Japanese manufacturers that would put any name the buyer wanted on them if the buyer was ordering enough. That's one possibility. If it was a newer machine with a lot of plastic, then almost anywhere.
If your husband thought it was ugly and you both have the same or similar taste it probably wasn't a mistake. There will be other machines.
Save your money and space for machines you love.
